Utila Thrillas to release new album

At Carnival last year Utila’s first reggaeton group the Utila Thrillas brought out their first single "Carnival de Utila". This song was a big success just like their second song "Hey Shorty". Both got a number one spot in Honduras. This year they will bring out their first album around Carnival time. The title of the album is "The Beginning of the Thrill". At the moment it is not sure how many songs will be on the album. The Thrillas have seven songs right now but they would like to have at least eight songs on their album. It might be more than eight as the Thrillas are working hard to get more songs done. The album includes the earlier songs as the group "want everybody to know us from the very beginning as in how we were when we first started out and how we are now that we have more experience."
When it comes to inspiration for the songs they said:" We really want to do it for the island. Utila has never had something like this, so we want Honduras to know that Utila also has young people who have talent. There is a lot of talent on the island, plenty, we have seen it and right now we’re the ones who are showing just some of the talent on the island. But we know that further in the future there will be more groups on Utila that will even be better than us.
The group will be performing at the Carnival so you will be able to see them perform live. The plans are to perform at the crowning of the Carnival Queen which will take place on Saturday the 22nd of July. The Thrillas are willing to do more performances. "It really depends on our fans. If they want to see us Friday, we will perform Friday," they said. The group is also looking at performing in Puerto Cortez and working with San Pedro Sula and Tegucigalpa to see if they can perform there. The Thrillas already performed in La Ceiba and might perform there again. The group might also be performing at the Caribbean Festival in Roatan.
Even though the Thrillas are working hard on their album they also study. They divide their time between their love for the band and getting an education. "Without an education you are nothing in the world. We never know what will happen, no one can tell, but if something happens, at least we will have our education so we can do something else," they said.
The album should be coming out before the Carnival. The group is working on the money to get is recorded at A.C. Records as they have the equipment to make it a professional album. They want to sell the album in different places on the island but for now it will definitely be sold at Rita’s Boutique on the Point.

En Carnaval el ano pasado Utila’s primer grupo de regatón los Utila Thrillas sacó su primera canción "Carnival de Utila." Esta canción y también su segunda canción "Hey Shorty" fueron exitosos y ambos llegaron al primer lugar en Honduras. Este ano sacó su primer disco antes del Carnival. El titulo es "The Beginning of the Thrill." En este momento no esta seguro cuantas canciones van a salir en el disco. Los Thrillas tienen siete canciones listas pero quieren tener un mínimo de ocho en el disco. Puede ser que van a poner más que ocho porque el grupo esta trabajando fuerte para terminar más canciones. Esto incluye sus previas canciones en el álbum porque quieren que "toda la gente nos conoce desde el principio cuando acabamos de empezar y como somos ahora ya que tenemos mas experiencia."
En cuanta a la inspiración para las canciones dijeron: "Lo hacemos para la isla. Utila nunca ha tenido algo como esto. Queremos que Honduras sepa que Utila también tiene gente joven con talento. Hay mucho talento en la isla, un montón, lo hemos visto y en este momento nosotros somos los que están mostrando algo de su talento en la isla. Pero sabemos que en el futuro vamos a tener mas grupos en Utila que serán mejor que nosotros."
El grupo cantare en el Carnaval así que vas a tener la oportunidad de verlos en vivo. Tienen planes de cantar durante la coronación de la Reina del Carnaval el sábado 22 de Julio. Puede ser que cantaran más veces. "Realmente, depende de los fans. Si ellos no quieren ver el viernes cantaremos el viernes," dijeron. Puede ser que el grupo también va a cantar en Puerto Cortez y esta trabajando en unas posibilidades en San Pedro Sula y Tegucigalpa. Ya han cantado en La Ceiba y probablemente regresaran allí. También van a cantar en el Caribbean Festival en Roatan.
Aunque están trabajando mucho para terminar su disco también estudian. Dividen su tiempo entre su amor para la música y su educación. "Sin educación no eres nada en este mundo. Nunca sabemos lo que va a pasar, nadie lo sabe, pero si algo pasa, por lo menos tendremos nuestra educación para hacer algo diferente."
El disco probablemente saldrá antes del Carnaval. El grupo esta trabajando en obtener el dinero para grabar el disco con A.C. Records porque ellos tienen todo el equipo necesario para grabar un disco profesional. Quieren vender el disco en diferentes sitios en la isla pero en este momento el único sitio definitivo es en Rita’s Boutique en La Punta.
